Tchaka Bags is a small family owned business run by Polene Polyte Felix in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
Tchaka Bags are constructed of up to 100% repurposed waste materials made into purses, market bags, wallets and many other creative items – useful and decorative. This business is environmentally responsible, economically advantageous and the products are durable.
Polene began her training in this business with Kevin McCarthy (Rara Designs) who created this process while living in Haiti several years ago in her efforts to promote environmental awareness and help create business opportunities for women.
Your purchase provides an income to many Haitian families enabling them to send their children to school and put food on their tables.
