Opportunities to Join Our Team!
Living, loving and learning in Haiti.
Living, loving and learning in Haiti.
Singing, dancing, drawing a picture, and long conversations - just by spending time with the Haitian people, one gains new values, perspective, and satisfaction. As we have come to learn, the Haiti experience is as important to the visitors as it is to the hosts. Here are some ways in which you can be involved:
Group Trips: We schedule volunteer group trips several times per year, ranging in length from one to two weeks. Our volunteer groups typically will have a wide age range, including college students to working professionals and retirees. Groups vary from four to ten people.
Individual Volunteers: There are plenty of projects to get involved in in Haiti including teaching English, construction work, installing water filters, cultural exchange, and much more. We've had volunteers install solar panels, set up photography programs for youth, and build solar ovens and we welcome any creative ideas! Please feel free to contact us should you want to volunteer your time in Haiti or in Vermont!
Research and Internships: We have had students join us in the past - researching for their thesis or as part of a school internship. Please contact us if you're interested in this.
Donate: Any amount goes exclusively towards our mission.

A message from Marissa: Long-time VHP volunteer
"If you feel drawn to donating financially, I invite you to check out Vermont Haiti Project's initiatives. While their grassroots efforts have focused on vocational school training, they are in the process of sending resources to this community to survive/rebuild in the imminent future. While there are many complexities involved in financial donations after a natural disaster, I can say with confidence that both the Haitian leaders and leaders from the U.S. running this organization are thoughtful and amazing people.
Mesi anpil pou tan ou ak eneji ou tou! (Thank you for your time and your energy)."
