The Eva Channel Scores of family and friends of Vermont Haiti Project recently spent a festive Saturday night in downtown Burlington, attending VHP's fund raising event. The benefit, VHP's first in over two years, had a musical theme. Not only were three area bands featured (The "Eva Channel", "Slickbitch" and "The Wolfpack"), but Haitian native Fenel Jean teamed up with volunteer Gary Beckwith to perform a pair of folk tunes: one in English and one in Haitian Creole. Several thousand dollars were raised via donation and silent auction. Gary and Fenel Perform "We are extremely grateful for the generosity of our supporters," stated Tim Singer, VHP Co founder. "It's proof that many people care about this cause that is so meaningful to us. In addition, a very special thanks to Charlie Micelli, who secured both the facility rental, and the musical talent, for the event, and to Michelle and Mary, for securing dozens of items for our auction and raffle."
